BASICS of POWER

 Isaiah 5:20

King James Version

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; 

that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; 

that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

As the days go by, the world seems crazier.

It's as if Satan was given free rein, to reign.

He can bulldoze his way through a market, where people shop.

He can send rockets and missiles to Israel's cities.

He can make outgoing leaders create one more foolish act.

He can create crime, where he will.

Chaos, cruelty, and confusion proliferate.

The everyday man asks if there's GOD.

The atheist doesn't believe in any.

The born again knows He exists.

All the while, GOD observes:

Psalm 14:2

2 The Lord looked down from heaven 

upon the children of men, 

to see if there were any that did understand, 

and seek God.

In answer, apostle Paul writes this:

Romans 3:11 

King James Version

11 There is none that understandeth, 

there is none that seeketh after God.

Romans 3:12

12 They are all gone out of the way, 

they are together become unprofitable; 

there is none that doeth good, 

no, not one.

And yet, by GOD's very power, we exist.

The born again know what GOD can do:

Zechariah 4:6

6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, 

This is the word of the Lord 

unto Zerubbabel, saying, 

Not by might, 

nor by power, 

but by my spirit, 

saith the Lord of hosts.

John 15:5

5 I am the vine, 

ye are the branches: 

He that abideth in me, and I in him, 

the same bringeth forth much fruit: 

for without me ye can do nothing.

All this power, He gave His Son.

Ephesians 1:19-23

19 And what is the exceeding greatness 

of his power to us-ward who believe, 

according to the working of his mighty power,

20 Which he wrought in Christ, 

when he raised him from the dead, 

and set him at his own right hand 

in the heavenly places,

21 Far above all principality, and power, and might,

not only in this world, 

but also in that which is to come:

22 And hath put all things under his feet, 

and gave him to be the head 

over all things to the church,

23 Which is his body, 

the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

If we are to survive these dark days, we are to trust in JESUS alone:

Who are the lost?

What makes them lost?

What does the Bible say?

What dangers do they face?

Let SPIRIT and SCRIPTURE tell us.

Whether Jew, or Gentile, these apply to all of us:

and they shall gather out of his kingdom

42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire:

so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

38 For as in the days that were before the flood

marrying and giving in marriage,

In SUMMARY, the "lost" are:

all things that offend

those who live carelessly, as in before the flood

those who don't believe JESUS is the SON of GOD

murderers, liars

lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy

Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good

Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof

captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth

any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie

Are you one of the lost?

Do you hear GOD's call now?

What call, you'd probably ask.

Let JESUS tell us:

38 This is the first and great commandment.

Mark 1:15

The time is fulfilled,

John 3:3-7

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born again,

4 Nicodemus saith unto him, 

How can a man be born when he is old?

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

Now that you know all these, would you say you're lost?

Or saved?

Time to make a stand now.

Turn to JESUS now.

That you may share eternal life with Him.

Man has no idea what disbelief and rebellion entail.

Only through JESUS do we have a chance at REAL life.

John 3:16-17

16 For God so loved the world, 

that he gave his only begotten Son, 

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, 

but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world 

to condemn the world; 

but that the world through him 

might be saved.

GOD loves us all, and wants all of us saved.

2 Peter 3:9

King James Version

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, 

as some men count slackness; 

but is longsuffering to us-ward, 

not willing that any should perish, 

but that all should come to repentance.

The question is, do you want to be saved?

Have you acknowledged your own sinfulness?

Are you aware of your errors?

Do you know what pleases GOD?

Turn to GOD, and repent.

PERILOUS times

 Proverbs 25:28

28 He that hath no rule over his own spirit 

is like a city that is broken down, 

and without walls.

Are we living in perilous times?

Are these the last days?

Surely, you've noticed.

Nothing seems to make sense.

People refuse to believe in GOD.

They don't want to believe in JESUS.

They have no idea who the HOLY SPIRIT is.

There are many false prophets and antichrists.

There are wars, and threat of wars.

There are shortages here, and there.

There are confusing agendas.

Economic knowledge is reserved for the elite.

But a born again knows what GOD has planned.

ANY moment could be the last day.

That's why we take great care we live by GOD's will.

We live by the Bible, and know what things are about.

SPIRIT, and SCRIPTURE, tell us all we need to know:

Joel 2:28-32

that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; 

and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,

DEEP abiding FAITH

 

JESUS said:

Matthew 24:35

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, 

but my words shall not pass away.

Why do I have so much faith in JESUS?

Here are THREE basic reasons:

Reason 1

If you focus on the world, you'll go crazy.

For it has selective information.

The elite choose what to tell you.

The poor are mere fodder for their schemes.

If you focus on JESUS, you'll find comfort.

For He has already overcome the world.

GOD gives both Jew, and Gentile, a fair chance at salvation.

GOD loves us all.

Reason 2

The prince of the power of the air wants to destroy us.

Ephesians 2:2-3

King James Version

2 Wherein in time past ye walked 

according to the course of this world, 

according to the prince of the power of the air, 

the spirit that now worketh 

in the children of disobedience:

3 Among whom also we all had our conversation 

in times past in the lusts of our flesh, 

fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; 

and were by nature the children of wrath, 

even as others.

1 Peter 5:8

King James Version

8 Be sober, 

be vigilant; 

because your adversary the devil, 

as a roaring lion, 

walketh about, 

seeking whom he may devour:

JESUS, the Prince of Peace, came to save the lost.

Mark 10:45

Reason 3

The enemy accuses us before GOD all the time.

Revelation 12:10

10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven,

and the kingdom of our God, 

and the power of his Christ: 

for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, 

which accused them before our God day and night.

JESUS intercedes for us all the time.

1 Timothy 2:5-6

5 For there is one God, 

and one mediator between God and men, 

the man Christ Jesus;

6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, 

to be testified in due time.

Those are but THREE comparisons.

Which makes decision-making, a no-brainer.

What's stopping you, from believing in JESUS?

What's stopping you, from being born again?

Who caused you to doubt GOD's love?

CALL for help, and the LORD will be there!

Psalm 50:15

15 And call upon me in the day of trouble: 

I will deliver thee, 

and thou shalt glorify me.

This verse, I can vouch for:

Isaiah 65:24

24 And it shall come to pass, 

that before they call, 

I will answer; 

and while they are yet speaking, 

I will hear.

It's time to fall away from sin, and seek JESUS.

For it's all preparation now.

The time is "at hand".

WHAT to FOCUS on EACH day

JESUS said:

Matthew 6:34

King James Version

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: 

for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. 

Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

How much control do we have over things happening in the world?

Nothing.

Zilch.

Only GOD has FULL control over EVERYTHING.

The sooner we accept that, the more peaceful we'll be.

The world's too crazy, to figure out.

If you're a control freak, the more you'll freak out.

The more obsessive-compulsive you are, the more you'll go nuts.

If you're a nervous person, you'll be a wreck.

Time to put things in perspective.

The world is out of control, for the enemy is at the helm

God allows it all, for there will be a harvest.

Pretty much the parable JESUS told us, about the good seed, and the tares.

The householder allowed both to grow together, even as an enemy had sown the tares among the good seed.

Matthew 13:30

30 Let both grow together until the harvest: 

and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, 

Gather ye together first the tares, 

and bind them in bundles to burn them: 

but gather the wheat into my barn.

Asked to explain the meaning of that parable, JESUS declares:

He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;

38 The field is the world; 

the good seed are the children of the kingdom; 

but the tares are the children of the wicked one;

39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; 

the harvest is the end of the world;

40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; 

so shall it be in the end of this world.

41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels,

I trust in the WISDOM of the LORD.

Completely.

Thus, I don't really read the newspaper, or listen to the news.

I'd much rather listen to sermons, write my articles, and listen to the HOLY SPIRIT's prompts.

I'm not even on social media.

I've entrusted ALL my blogs and posts to the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD.

He's the ONE who teaches me EVERYTHING about Scripture.

I get ALL the TRUTH I need from the BIBLE.

The true born again trusts in JESUS alone.

We know that ANY moment GOD decides, TRUE believers would meet His Son up in the air, before real trouble starts.

So, what good are world domination plans when the LORD comes for His faithful?

What good is hoarding wealth, and power?

Rather, fear JESUS.

He holds the keys to heaven, and hell.

Matthew 10:28

28 And fear not them which kill the body, 

but are not able to kill the soul: 

but rather fear him which is able to destroy 

both soul and body in hell.

I'm just an overgrown kid who loves JESUS with all my heart.

Here's one of my favorite verses -- a very powerful, and stabilizing one.

Gives me the focus I need each day:

Colossians 3:1-2

3 If ye then be risen with Christ, 

seek those things which are above, 

where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

2 Set your affection on things above, 

not on things on the earth.

Why is BELIEVING the TRUTH urgent?

What are we to expect in these times?

above all that is called God, 

or that is worshipped;

that he might be revealed in his time.
