Early Morning INSTRUCTIONS

Proverbs 3:7

King James Version

7 Be not wise in thine own eyes

fear the Lord,

and depart from evil.

Three things were given to me by the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD, waking me up very early this morning -- again, another instruction for all of us -- at these crucial, seemingly confusing times at the start of this year:

1. Fear the Lord.

2. Depart from evil.

The name "Obadiah" was "whispered" upon my head.

I knew he was a prophet, but apart from that, I didn't know his work.

And a fourth item came along as I prepared to write this piece:

3. Become born again.

Why?

For reasons that will be very clear here.

And why "Obadiah"?

So I searched the Bible, and came upon this:

Obadiah 15 (KJV)

15 For the day of the Lord is near

upon all the heathen

as thou hast done,

it shall be done unto thee:

thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

Who was Obadiah?

I learned that he was an Edomite.

Who better to prophesy against them, than one of them?

So, he was used by the LORD to do so.

According to this reference, Obadiah's fear of God was "one degree higher than that of Abraham".

He also hid 100 prophets from Jezebel's persecution:

1 Kings 18:3-4 (KJV)

3 And Ahab called Obadiah,

which was the governor of his house.

(Now Obadiah feared the Lord greatly:

4 For it was so,

when Jezebel cut off the prophets of the Lord,

that Obadiah took an hundred prophets,

and hid them by fifty in a cave

and fed them with bread and water.)

Apparently, Obadiah was given the "gift of prophecy" by GOD after he hid the prophets in two caves, so that if one cave was discovered, the other 50 were kept safe in another.

I merely follow instructions from the SPIRIT of the LORD.

Again, these are the specific instructions:

1. "Fear the Lord."

2. "Depart from evil."

3. "Ye must be born again."

4. "The day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen."

How can I claim these prompts are from the HOLY SPIRIT of GOD?

I pray for instructions each day.

Only then can I write, and share with you.

I don't think for myself.

The HOLY SPIRIT teaches me everything about JESUS.

Also, I am born again.

It's the only way to understand things of GOD.

Being subject to SPIRIT's instructions, and guidance.

I am totally focused on the WORD of GOD.

I cannot give you less.

May we all take heed.

For SPIRIT's instructions are clear.

And urgent.

Focus on the WORD, not the World

"Focus on the WORD,

not the world."

That's what JESUS imprinted upon my heart yesterday, as I was praying for "instructions".

I knew it was a command for all of us, for the world can be confusing, with its many voices, demands, chaos, confusion, and corruption.

It's just a difference of one letter -- "l", and yet there is a GREAT divide between them, for the world is not of God.

Here's the difference between the "WORD", and the world:

WORD of GOD.

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV)

12 For the word of God is quick,

and powerful

and sharper than any twoedged sword

piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit,

and of the joints and marrow,

and is a discerner of the thoughts

and intents of the heart.

The world.

1 John 2:15-17 (KJV)

15 Love not the world,

neither the things that are in the world

If any man love the world,

the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

and the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

is not of the Father,

but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away,

and the lust thereof:

but he that doeth the will of God

abideth for ever.

Wherever you may be in the world, whatever your part of the world is going through, find comfort in JESUS' words:

John 16:33 (KJV)

33 These things I have spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace.

In the world ye shall have tribulation:

but be of good cheer;

I have overcome the world.

JESUS also gave a clue to the end times, in relation to the spreading of the WORD, His Gospel:

Matthew 24:11-14 (KJV)

11 And many false prophets shall rise,

and shall deceive many.

12 And because iniquity shall abound,

the love of many shall wax cold.

13 But he that shall endure unto the end,

the same shall be saved.

14 And this gospel of the kingdom

shall be preached in all the world

for a witness unto all nations;

and then shall the end come.

Lastly, a PROMISE from JESUS:

Matthew 24:35 (KJV)

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away,

but my words shall not pass away.

The world will not tell you the truth.

Only the WORD of GOD can be relied on.

The Holy Spirit and I urge you to find comfort in that.

CURE for DISASTROUS I's

There is something disastrous happening in the world today.

Well, maybe, for sometime now.

We are obsessed with self, and the world.

But there's hope -- in JESUS.

Let two verses cure, and correct, each troubling "I":

1. I.

John 3:30 (King James Version)

30 He must increase

but I must decrease.

John 14:6 (KJV)

6 Jesus saith unto him,

I am the way,

the truth,

and the life:

no man cometh unto the Father,

but by me.

2. Idolatry.

Exodus 20:2-4 (KJV)

2 I am the Lord thy God

which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt,

out of the house of bondage.

3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image,

or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above,

or that is in the earth beneath,

or that is in the water under the earth.

1 John 2:15-17 (KJV)

15 Love not the world,

neither the things that are in the world

If any man love the world,

the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world,

the lust of the flesh,

and the lust of the eyes,

and the pride of life,

is not of the Father,

but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away,

and the lust thereof:

but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

3. Ignorance.

John 14:26 (KJV)

26 But the Comforter,

which is the Holy Ghost,

whom the Father will send in my name,

he shall teach you all things

and bring all things to your remembrance,

whatsoever I have said unto you.

1 Corinthians 1:4-8 (KJV)

4 I thank my God always on your behalf,

for the grace of God which is given you by Jesus Christ;

5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him,

in all utterance,

and in all knowledge;

6 Even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you:

7 So that ye come behind in no gift;

waiting for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ:

8 Who shall also confirm you unto the end,

that ye may be blameless in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

4. Indifference.

Matthew 11:16-17 (KJV)

16 But whereunto shall I liken this generation?

It is like unto children sitting in the markets,

and calling unto their fellows,

17 And saying,

We have piped unto you,

and ye have not danced;

we have mourned unto you,

and ye have not lamented.

Revelation 3:15-16 (KJV)

15 I know thy works,

that thou art neither cold nor hot:

I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm,

and neither cold nor hot,

I will spue thee out of my mouth.

5. Impatience.

Lamentations 3:25 (KJV)

25 The Lord is good unto them that wait for him

to the soul that seeketh him.

Psalm 37:7-9 (KJV)

7 Rest in the Lord,

and wait patiently for him

fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way,

because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.

8 Cease from anger,

and forsake wrath:

fret not thyself in any wise to do evil.

9 For evildoers shall be cut off:

but those that wait upon the Lord,

they shall inherit the earth.

6. Insubordination.

Luke 6:46 (KJV)

46 And why call ye me,

Lord, Lord,

and do not the things which I say?

Philippians 2:8 (KJV)

8 And being found in fashion as a man,

he humbled himself,

and became obedient unto death,

even the death of the cross.

7. Insolence.

1 Samuel 2:3 (KJV)

3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly;

let not arrogancy come out of your mouth:

for the Lord is a God of knowledge,

and by him actions are weighed.

Isaiah 13:11 (KJV)

11 And I will punish the world for their evil,

and the wicked for their iniquity;

and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease,

and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

Can you think of any more I's?

Scripture has the cure.

We need to correct ourselves now.
