EAGERLY awaiting JESUS

 

JESUS declared:

Luke 21:27-28

King James Version

27 And then shall they see the Son of man 

coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

28 And when these things begin to come to pass, 

then look up, and lift up your heads; 

for your redemption draweth nigh.

Surely, you've noticed how fleeting face, fame, friendships, and fortune are.

For the true believer, the world cannot offer any delight, for the born again has seen through all that illusion.

Satan keeps our souls focused on earth when we should really be worshiping the LORD of HEAVEN.

The enemy gives us all sorts of enticements and excitements, keeping our souls in sin.

Many churches have been corrupted.

They don't even talk about the end times.

It's all "self", and "prosperity", and a denial of truth.

We only need to look at how depraved the world is.

Do you really want to remain in such a world?

Isaiah 5:20

King James Version

20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; 

that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; 

that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

The born again looks to the promises of CHRIST:

John 14:2-4

King James Version

2 In my Father's house are many mansions: 

if it were not so, I would have told you. 

I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, 

I will come again, and receive you unto myself; 

that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

We eagerly await the imminence of the Rapture:

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

16 For the Lord himself 

shall descend from heaven 

with a shout, 

with the voice of the archangel, 

and with the trump of God: 

and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain 

shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, 

to meet the Lord in the air: 

and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

We look forward to the New Jerusalem:

Revelation 21:1-7

21 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: 

for the first heaven and the first earth 

were passed away; and there was no more sea.

2 And I John saw the holy city, 

new Jerusalem, 

coming down from God out of heaven, 

prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, 

and he will dwell with them, 

and they shall be his people, 

and God himself shall be with them, 

and be their God.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; 

and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, 

nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: 

for the former things are passed away.

5 And he that sat upon the throne said, 

Behold, I make all things new. 

And he said unto me, Write: 

for these words are true and faithful.

6 And he said unto me, It is done. 

I am Alpha and Omega, 

the beginning and the end. 

I will give unto him that is athirst 

of the fountain of the water of life freely.

7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; 

and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

ETERNAL LIFE with JESUS is what we believers want.

Who are believers but those who believe JESUS, the SON of GOD, has come, and will come again.

Believers are tasked to share the gospel with you.

Which, in all its simplicity is explained by apostle Paul:

1 Corinthians 15:1-4

15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you 

the gospel which I preached unto you, 

which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, 

if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, 

unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all 

that which I also received, 

how that Christ died for our sins 

according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, 

and that he rose again the third day 

according to the scriptures:

Things of the world have no appeal for us.

We have no ambition to make a mark in this world.

We have no desire to be loved, be popular, be liked, be adored.

We have no desire to accumulate titles, money, or possessions.

We only have a desire to be right with the LORD, and to sin no more.

GLORY belongs to GOD alone.

We must worship Him alone.

Everything JESUS taught us, we take to heart.

SPIRIT and Scripture help us remember all those teachings:

John 14:26

26 But the Comforter, 

which is the Holy Ghost, 

whom the Father will send in my name, 

he shall teach you all things, 

and bring all things to your remembrance, 

whatsoever I have said unto you.

We are like children, eagerly awaiting JESUS to take up His church, His body, of which we are.

Thus, our focus are on these:

John 3:5-7

5 Jesus answered, 

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, 

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, 

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; 

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, 

Ye must be born again.

Acts 3:19

19 Repent ye therefore, 

and be converted, 

that your sins may be blotted out, 

when the times of refreshing shall come 

from the presence of the Lord.

Romans 8:22-23

22 For we know that the whole creation groaneth 

and travaileth in pain together until now.

23 And not only they, but ourselves also, 

which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, 

even we ourselves groan within ourselves, 

waiting for the adoption, to wit, 

the redemption of our body.

Philippians 3:9-12

9 And be found in him, 

not having mine own righteousness, 

which is of the law, but that which is 

through the faith of Christ, 

the righteousness which is of God by faith:

10 That I may know him, 

and the power of his resurrection,

Lastly, know the world for what it is:

but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

Put your hope in JESUS alone.

Peace in life, and victory over sin, can only come through the MIGHTY GOD, and the PRINCE of PEACE.

Isaiah 9:6

and his name shall be called Wonderful, 

Counsellor, 

The mighty God, 

The everlasting Father, 

The Prince of Peace.

On ENDING confusion

 Ezra 9:7

7 Since the days of our fathers have we been

 in a great trespass unto this day; 

and for our iniquities have we, 

our kings, and our priests, been delivered 

into the hand of the kings of the lands, 

to the sword, to captivity, and to a spoil, 

and to confusion of face, 

as it is this day.

We are in very dangerous days, indeed.

These are the days of confusion.

With Satan having a heyday.

Putting his spirit in people.

In unbelievers.

In vain people.

In proud people.

In rebellious people.

In those wanting to believe anything, BUT GOD.

The world is a land of darkness.

Job 10:22

22 A land of darkness, as darkness itself; 

and of the shadow of death, without any order, 

and where the light is as darkness.

Where there is no light.

No truth.

No love.

Scripture describes the state of the world then, and today.

It really hasn't changed.

You need only look around you.

You can call these "signs of the end times":

and that every imagination 

of the thoughts of his heart 

was only evil continually.

Isaiah 5:20

And a very telling, current sign?

A candidate has been put in place.

To create chaos in the U.S.

To confuse people, and mock GOD.

2 Timothy 3:6-7

6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, 

and lead captive silly women laden with sins, 

led away with divers lusts,

7 Ever learning, 

and never able to come 

to the knowledge of the truth.

The most telling sign?

The world has gone against Israel.

They've ganged up on this tiny nation of GOD.

With the intent of completely annihilating her.

As if that would ever happen.

JESUS warned His 12 disciples what to expect:

Matthew 10:22

22 And ye shall be hated of all men 

for my name's sake: 

but he that endureth to the end 

shall be saved.

But GOD has the last say about Israel:

Genesis 12:3

King James Version

3 And I will bless them that bless thee, 

and curse him that curseth thee: 

and in thee shall all families of the earth 

be blessed.

Unless you're born again, a believer in JESUS, devoted to His WORD, you will continue to hurt, mock, defy, and destroy everything GOD loves.

That's precisely how to identify the cause of confusion:

EVERYTHING the LORD loves, 

Satan hates.

What to do in these terrible, dark days which only keep getting darker?

Look to GOD for clarity.

1 Corinthians 14:33

33 For God is not the author of confusion, 

but of peace, 

as in all churches of the saints.

Look to JESUS for truth.

John 1:17

King James Version

17 For the law was given by Moses, 

but grace and truth came 

by Jesus Christ.

Look to SPIRIT for liberty.

2 Corinthians 3:17

17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: 

and where the Spirit of the Lord is, 

there is liberty.

It's really all so simple.

Scripture tells us what to believe in.

That is, if you're really tired of lies, deception, and confusion.

And want to believe in something true, and real.

Turn away from what the world offers.

They merely offer the same.

Just packaged differently.

Delivered through new "avenues".

Offering pretty much the same type of "dish" --

A host of personalities who have been sold, bought, and paid for.

Who spew out venom against GOD, and His followers.

Who continue to confuse the issue -- any issue.

It's open season for confusion.

Satan's agenda is chaos, cruelty, and confusion.

In total contrast to what GOD's ways are.

The LORD's plan is SALVATION.

He cares about every one of us.

John 3:16-17

16 For God so loved the world, 

that he gave his only begotten Son, 

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, 

but have everlasting life.

17 For God sent not his Son into the world 

to condemn the world; 

but that the world through him 

might be saved.

John 10:10

King James Version

10 The thief cometh not, 

but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: 

I am come that they might have life, 

and that they might have it more abundantly.

2 Peter 3:9

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, 

as some men count slackness; 

but is longsuffering to us-ward, 

not willing that any should perish, 

but that all should come to repentance.

Know who you serve.

Know who you've given you heart to.

Know who you've given your allegiance to.

Know what you promote.

Be aware of the consequences.

Be awake, alert, and alive in CHRIST.

Your salvation, and survival, is in your choices.

Philippians 2:12

as ye have always obeyed, 

not as in my presence only, 

but now much more in my absence, 

work out your own salvation 

with fear and trembling.

If you care about your family, and your family's survival, you will do the RIGHT thing.

PARADOX of PEACE

 The LORD JESUS declared:

Luke 12:51

King James Version

51 Suppose ye that I am come 

to give peace on earth? 

I tell you, Nay; 

but rather division:

Did we understand that verse right?

That JESUS came to "give" division?

Isn't He the "Prince of Peace"?

That's what this article will explore.

To many, it's confusing.

To a born again, it's clear.

We always turn to SPIRIT.

Who teaches us about Scripture.

First, the prophecy:

Isaiah 9:6

King James Version

6 For unto us a child is born, 

unto us a son is given: 

and the government shall be upon his shoulder: 

and his name shall be called Wonderful, 

Counsellor, 

The mighty God, 

The everlasting Father, 

The Prince of Peace.

That makes JESUS, "The Prince of Peace".

For Him to be sent by GOD means the world was in a critical state.

Luke 19:9-10

King James Version

9 And Jesus said unto him, 

This day is salvation come to this house, 

forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.

10 For the Son of man is come 

to seek and to save 

that which was lost.

Man being "lost", meant he did not know the laws of GOD.

Or he did, but forgot, tried to forget, or simply didn't want to obey.

Man went about his way, thinking he knew what was right.

Judges 21:25

King James Version

25 In those days there was no king in Israel: 

every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

But what is right to man, isn't necessarily right with GOD.

Proverbs 16:9

King James Version

9 A man's heart deviseth his way: 

but the Lord directeth his steps.

The stench of sin must have greatly angered GOD.

He decided to send His SON, once and for all.

People thought the MESSIAH would bring "peace".

That was the end goal.

First, the "mess".

The MESSIAH was there for man's "mess".

He needed to wake us up, each and every one of us.

He showed us our foaming "filth".

Galatians 5:19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, 

which are these; 

Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, 

emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, 

revellings, and such like: 

of the which I tell you before, 

as I have also told you in time past, 

that they which do such things 

shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

In any "house cleaning", JESUS tells us what to expect:

Luke 12:52-53

52 For from henceforth there shall be 

five in one house divided, 

three against two, and two against three.

53 The father shall be divided against the son, 

and the son against the father; 

the mother against the daughter, 

and the daughter against the mother; 

the mother in law against her daughter in law, 

and the daughter in law against her mother in law.

Such divisions are representative of what goes on in a family, a community, an organization, a country, and in the world.

To have peace, we need JESUS.

That He may help us deal with the "mess".

It will cause divisions among us.

Beliefs will be challenged.

Norms will be challenged.

The status quo will be challenged.

That's what the "division" is all about.

To this day, each man's "house cleaning" is not done.

We need to be a true born again.

So we'll be at it, every single day.

Making sure we're ready for the Rapture.

Because no way would wee want to be in the Tribulation.

And no way will we want to continue sinning.

It is totally abhorrent to a true believer in CHRIST.

Especially our LORD gave up His life on the cross.

We'd be so ashamed to ever sin again.

It cost the LORD so much.

1 Corinthians 6:20

20 For ye are bought with a price: 

therefore glorify God in your body, 

and in your spirit, which are God's.

1 Peter 1:18-21

King James Version

18 Forasmuch as ye know 

that ye were not redeemed 

with corruptible things, 

as silver and gold, 

from your vain conversation 

received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, 

as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained 

before the foundation of the world, 

but was manifest in these last times for you,

21 Who by him do believe in God, 

that raised him up from the dead, 

and gave him glory; 

that your faith and hope 

might be in God.

Only through JESUS can we have PEACE.

He is "Prince of Peace".

We remain in "pieces", unless we believe in Him.

Our WHOLENESS relies upon JESUS alone.

Our healing comes from Him.

We need to repent, and believe His gospel.

We need to live a life worthy of the LORD.

We need to LIVE by His WORD.

We need to love GOD, self, and each other, as we ought to.

You would want to have everlasting life, wouldn't you?

The fact JESUS will return means one thing:

Again, we are in dire straits.

Our mess continues.

This time, the house cleaning will be for good.

And PEACE will finally prevail.

Revelation 22:1-5

22 And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, 

clear as crystal, 

proceeding out of the throne of God 

and of the Lamb.

2 In the midst of the street of it, 

and on either side of the river, 

was there the tree of life, 

which bare twelve manner of fruits, 

and yielded her fruit every month: 

and the leaves of the tree 

were for the healing of the nations.

3 And there shall be no more curse: 

but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; 

and his servants shall serve him:

4 And they shall see his face; 

and his name shall be in their foreheads.

5 And there shall be no night there; 

and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; 

for the Lord God giveth them light: 

and they shall reign for ever and ever.

Psalm 130:5

and in his word do I hope.

Is the world whole?

It's not.

It's broken.

How can we say that?

If the world was whole, there would be peace.

Everyone would believe in JESUS.

Everyone would love GOD.

Everyone would listen to SPIRIT.

But it is a broken world.

To each his own.

Following the dictates of Satan.

Refusing to believe in the LORD JESUS.

Intellect rules.

Wealth rules.

The elite rule.

Beauty rules.

Business rules.

Money rules.

The poor are forgotten.

The world makes no room for CHRIST.

Only self, I, me, mine.

Why the world is broken:

Colossians 2:8

King James Version

8 Beware lest any man spoil you 

through philosophy and vain deceit, 

after the tradition of men, 

after the rudiments of the world, 

and not after Christ.

Only JESUS can fix it:

Colossians 2:9-10

9 For in him dwelleth 

all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

10 And ye are complete in him, 

which is the head of all principality 

and power:

Man's broken systems cannot fix the broken world.

Our minds are not whole.

Our hearts are not whole.

Our spirits are not whole.

Our intentions are not whole.

Our vision is not whole.

We all have holes in our spirit, which allow evil to step in.

We need to have the mind of CHRIST.

1 Corinthians 2:16

16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, 

that he may instruct him? 

but we have the mind of Christ.

With all the fame, fortune, and face, why aren't people happy?

Why do they continue to aspire for more?

Why do industries, and professions, continue to spawn more industries, and professions?

It has become one big, money-making machine.

A never-ending cycle of discontent.

And destruction.

Perpetual vanity.

With no one getting the wiser.

With no one getting better.

With no one getting happier.

Are families whole?

Are individuals whole?

Are psychologists whole?

Are psychiatrists whole?

Are physicians whole?

Are their families whole?

Are the richest men, and women, whole?

Or do they have holes in their hearts?

Are they all truly happy?

Being whole means you have peace.

You have love, joy, and contentment.

Your heart is filled with GOD's WORD.

You are nourished by SPIRIT.

You know what to do each moment.

You know the right thoughts to think.

You know the right words to say.

You know the right things to do.

You know the right work to do.

And they always conform to GOD's WILL.

That's what really makes you happy.

There are no guessing games.

You know things, for certain.

That it is ALL for GOD, and others.

Never for self.

The world is not whole because it refuses to accept that.

At every point, and turn, it refuses to obey GOD.

Joy comes from being born again.

Joy comes from knowing GOD's will.

Joy comes from knowing your purpose in life.

Joy comes from knowing your work pleases the LORD.

Joy comes from total obedience to GOD.

Happiness at work makes you feel whole.

Because you know your work has true purpose.

That you haven't sold your soul, for ambition.

The whole person will never sell his soul.

Not for any price.

Not for any reward.

Not for any person.

Mark 8:36

36 For what shall it profit a man, 

if he shall gain the whole world, 

and lose his own soul?

What good is success, if you lose direction?

Or if you've lost self?

Or lost your precious family?

Or your faithful friends?

Outward success will merely be a "pyrrhic victory".

An empty sense of victory.

Which is no victory at all.

But this I can tell you, for certain.

When GOD makes you born again, you will be whole.

You will know how to live, love, work, serve, and exist.

Your life will have true meaning, in the deepest sense of the word.

That's actually what people are looking for.

"Meaning."

Many rich, and famous, people have empty lives.

Sad lives.

Lonely lives.

Painful lives.

Chaotic lives.

Lives full of betrayal.

They sit at long tables, lording it over others.

They have meals at long tables, with all the stiff formality.

And yet another family can be eating the simplest meal elsewhere.

In a forgotten part of the world.

Having much joy, ribbing, and laughter.

Not glued to gadgets.

Not shutting out each other.

Not anxious to leave the table.

But having real laughter among themselves.

They do not look for what's not there.

They make do, with what's available.

They thank GOD for everything.

The children are taught about GOD.

They are taught values, and principles.

They are taught GOD's commands.

They are taught timeless principles for life.

They have sure, strong, steady foundations to live on.

And they teach the same to their kids.

If they do decide to have families.

Which normally, they would.

Your wholeness springs from what you focus on.

If you focus on JESUS, He will fill your whole universe.

If you focus on what the world thinks you should have, you will feel empty.

Nothing will ever be enough, or satisfactory.

Only JESUS can fill your whole heart with happiness.

Only He can give you the fulfillment you seek.

Only He can give you peace, love, joy, and contentment.

And yes, only He can give you GOD.

But the world continues about its orbit.

Going around in circles, but not really getting anywhere.

While true believers can't get enough of His WORD.

I know what I speak of.

SPIRIT and I have 106 blogs we share with you.

And yet, I've probably barely scraped the surface of GOD's TRUTH.

Not that I mind, for GOD is patient, merciful, kind, and loving.

He knows I'll get there.

By my little efforts each day, I'll get there.

It's in the doing; not just the speaking.

James 1:22

22 But be ye doers of the word, 

and not hearers only, 

deceiving your own selves.

My life may be a fragile "bubble".

I'm here one day, then gone the next.

But in that moment I'm around, my wholeness relies on JESUS.

My SAVIOR.

My LORD.

My LOVE.

My LIFE.

My EVERYTHING.

Colossians 3:1-2
