3 things you can TRUST

John 8:31-32

King James Version

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews

which believed on him,

If ye continue in my word,

then are ye my disciples indeed;

32 And ye shall know the truth,

and the truth shall make you free.

The world can be intimidating to most people.

They don't know what to believe.

They don't know whom to believe.

What truth is there in the world?

The media will report many things.

But who has inside information on all these?

As born again, I trust in only THREE things:

The SAVIOR, SPIRIT, and SCRIPTURE.

This I believe, with ALL my heart.

And here's proof.

Why I trust JESUS, the SAVIOR:

John 1:17

King James Version

17 For the law was given by Moses,

but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

Why I trust SPIRIT:

John 14:16-17

King James Version

16 And I will pray the Father,

and he shall give you another Comforter,

that he may abide with you for ever;

17 Even the Spirit of truth;

whom the world cannot receive,

because it seeth him not,

neither knoweth him:

but ye know him;

for he dwelleth with you,

and shall be in you.

Why I trust SCRIPTURE:

2 Timothy 3:16-17

King James Version

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God,

and is profitable for doctrine,

for reproof,

for correction,

for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

We are not to trust our fallible judgments.

The Bible was clear on that.

Psalm 146:3-7

King James Version

3 Put not your trust in princes,

nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.

4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth;

in that very day his thoughts perish.

5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help,

whose hope is in the Lord his God:

6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea,

and all that therein is:

which keepeth truth for ever:

7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed:

which giveth food to the hungry.

The Lord looseth the prisoners:

My trust is in the LORD alone.

I serve only Him.

Joshua 24:15

King James Version

15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the Lord,

choose you this day whom ye will serve;

whether the gods which your fathers served

that were on the other side of the flood,

or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell:

but as for me and my house,

we will serve the Lord.

It's time to TURN back to GOD now.

It's time to believe in something real.

In SOMEONE who really LOVES you.

In turn, it's time to LOVE the LORD, too.

And to be grateful for everything.

We have defied Him too long.
