TRIBULATION in the world

John 16:33

King James Version

33 These things I have spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace.

In the world ye shall have tribulation:

but be of good cheer;

I have overcome the world.

If the world doesn't make sense right now, it's not surprising.

JESUS already prophesied about it.

He knew what His disciples would go through.

But, He left us the HOLY SPIRIT, to teach, and comfort, us.

What did JESUS mean, when He said "in the world ye shall have tribulation"?

What is "tribulation"?

Let's have a look at the Bible versions:

But let's not forget TWO other parts of the equation:

John 16:33

King James Version

33 These things I have spoken unto you,

that in me ye might have peace

In the world ye shall have tribulation:

but be of good cheer;

I have overcome the world.

1. We have PEACE, through JESUS.

2. He has OVERCOME the world.

JESUS also said:

Luke 9:23

King James Version

23 And he said to them all,

If any man will come after me,

let him deny himself,

and take up his cross daily,

and follow me.

That's what the born agains must do.

Expect tribulation.

Endure tribulation.

For this world, is not of GOD.

1 John 5:19

King James Version

19 And we know that we are of God,

and the whole world lieth in wickedness.

What believers have, is the promise of ETERNAL LIFE.

John 3:16

King James Version

16 For God so loved the world,

that he gave his only begotten Son,

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

but have everlasting life.

1 John 5:20

King James Version

20 And we know that the Son of God is come,

and hath given us an understanding,

that we may know him that is true,

and we are in him that is true,

even in his Son Jesus Christ.

This is the true God,

and eternal life.
